Adobe Warns of Reader and Acrobat Attacks

Adobe started investigation on new reports about hacker attacks using previously unknown bug in the latest version of Reader and Acrobat software. It is said that Adobe Reader and Acrobat 9.2 and some earlier versions are exploited in the wild. Adobe stated that this vulnerability has been found by partners in the security community, and no public reports of the issue have been reported yet. With Adobe Reader and Acrobat along with Flash Player software installed on a great amount of computers all over the world they have recently become a very attractive target for cyberthieves. We will have to wait for the investigation to end before actually doing anything though, but keep in mind that you might need to update Adobe programs in near future.

The most dangerous domain names on the web

More then 30% of the website using Cameroon domains (a country in western Africa) are dangerous and harmful for internet users according to annual report by McAfee. Criminals tend to like the first level domains of Cameroon (.cm) as they are very often visited when mistyping the usual “.com”. Such internet website can be almost identical to the website you were originally trying to visit, however may content harmful code that may be using browser vulnerabilities to get access or virus/malware on your computer.  However “.com” domains are not that safe either, since they too have a large percentage of harmful sited on the list. Domain names of Japan(.jp) and Ireland(.ie) and Croatia(.hr) where named the safest among the countries and of course “.gov” “.edu” – safest on the whole web.
