Microsoft Windows 2000 and XP SP2 support runs out in july

this week Microsoft reminded that support for Windows 2000 and Windows XP SP2 will end in july 2010, meaning that from that point of time Microsoft company will no longer relesase updates for these products. Windows 2000 Server will lose it’s Extended Support at the same time, and Windows Server 2003 along with Windows Server 2003 R2 will get this status instead of current Mainstream Support. Microsoft offers current users of Windows 2000 to switch to Windows Xp, Windows Vista or Windows 7, while Windows Xp SP2 users can upgrade to Vista or Windows 7 or simply get SP3.
